This is an unlikely combination of low-sal foods, and it makes a great substitution when you're craving high-sal sweet potatoes.

5 white potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks |
2 pears, peeled, cored and quartered |
1 tablespoon canola or sunflower oil, or butter |
1 tablespoon parsley, chopped |
salt to taste |
Parsley used to be a low-sal food, but has retested medium. Because so little is used per serving, the salicylate level probably remains low for the recipe.
