This is an unlikely combination of low-sal foods, and it makes a great substitution when you're craving high-sal sweet potatoes.

|5 white potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks|
|2 pears, peeled, cored and quartered|
|1 tablespoon canola or sunflower oil, or butter|
|1 tablespoon parsley, chopped|
|salt to taste|
Parsley used to be a low-sal food, but has retested medium. Because so little is used per serving, the salicylate level probably remains low for the recipe.
