This yummy carob pear smoothie is low in salicylates and amines, vegan and gluten-free. It uses white beans as an alternative option to protein powder.
Category: | Breakfast and Brunch Beverages |
Seasons |
1 1/2 cups frozen peeled pear |
1 1/2 tablespoons carob powder |
2 tablespoons gluten free oats |
2 teaspoons brown rice syrup |
1 tablespoons white beans |
1 cup dairy-free milk (we used rice milk) |
PLEASE NOTE: Banana was used for decorative purposes for this smoothie, do not use this if you are following the FID program. If you are not on FID, frozen banana can be enjoyed.
White beans have been added as a protein option as protein powder is not recommended to use during the FID program. If you are following the eczema detox or diet programs, this, of course, can still be enjoyed.
Suitable for those following the FID program or for anyone highly sensitive to moderate salicylates and amines
