Pear and Goat Cheese Snack

Delicious and nutritious snack that only takes a few minutes to prepare. This is a great snack to set out when you have company.

1/2 pear, peeled - Bartlett is best
2 oz goat cheese, plain
3 large crackers, Wasa sourdough shown

Pear and Goat Cheese Snack Directions

  1. Since everything tends to be white, try to find a colorful plate to serve on.
  2. Peel pears and slice. If preparing these as horderves, prep the pears by treating them in some citric or ascorbic acid to prevent browning.
  3. Chunk off a bit of goat cheese. Choose a goat cheese without herbs or fruit added. Other creamy white cheeses can be used, but goat cheese has a great tang. Cream cheese, provolone, white cheddar, or brie can be used.
  4. Serve with your favorite cracker.

Consider stacking on small crackers for bite-site delicious snacks for a party.
