Maple Caramel Sauce

Maple Caramel sauce is the perfect addition to any sweet treat like brownies, chocolate ice cream, or with hot pear juice.

Maple Caramel Sauce

1/2 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup granulated sugar
4 Tbsp salted butter
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 tsp sea salt

Maple Caramel Sauce Directions

  1. Melt sugar and maple syrup together over low heat, stirring every 20 seconds for 7 minutes.
  2. Add the butter, stir every 20 seconds, for 2 minutes.
  3. Add cream slowly and salt. If you want a more salty version, add another 1/2 tsp to your batch. Stir continuously for another 5 minutes. Mixture should be at a mild boiling, but not rolling or scorching.
  4. At the end of the 5 minutes, pull off heat. When it cools it should coat your spoon.
  5. I like to keep mine in the fridge for a few weeks, and reheat in the microwave if needed to drizzle easily.
