Delicious and nutritious snack that only takes a few minutes to prepare. This is a great snack to set out when you have company.


  • 1/2 pear, peeled - Bartlett is best
  • 2 oz goat cheese, plain
  • 3 large crackers, Wasa sourdough shown


  • Since everything tends to be white, try to find a colorful plate to serve on.
  • Peel pears and slice. If preparing these as hors d'oeuvres, prep the pears by treating them in some citric or ascorbic acid to prevent browning.
  • Chunk off a bit of goat cheese. Choose a goat cheese without herbs or fruit added. Other creamy white cheeses can be used, but goat cheese has a great tang. Cream cheese, provolone, white cheddar, or brie can be used.
  • Serve with your favorite cracker.

Additional Notes

Consider stacking on small crackers for bite-site delicious snacks for a party.
