My thoughts: The top foods in vitamin E include nuts, seeds, oils, avocados, and dark leafy greens - most are high in salicylates. After reviewing my nutrients for a week, I realized my diet tended to be very low in vitamin E. I decided to try a natural source in food - please leave your reviews if you've tried this product and if it helped.
The oil is thick and a bit yellow-brown. I did not cook with it or heat it, but I added it to my food after it was finished cooking. It tastes a little bit like sesame oil with a nutty-roasted taste. I liked using it with in a soy sauce and cabbage stir-fry. A tablespoon seemed really high, so I usually use 1-2 teaspoons.
Wheat and most grains are negligible or very low in salicylates. While wheat germ oil has not specifically been tested, it is likely to also be negligible. Not recommended for gluten/wheat allergies.
