My thoughts: Lanolin is a lovely natural emollient that feels a lot like vaseline. It's thick and hard to spread, and the warmer it is the softer it gets. I use this for so many things, but it's my go-to for chapped lips and skin, crusty feet (yeah - it happens), as a light pomade/gel in my hair for smoothing, and much more. Lanolin is sourced from (living) sheep - when the sheep are sheared for their wool, lanolin coats each hair. The wool is then washed and the lanolin is separated out and deodorized. Yes - try to look for the deodorized or pharmaceutical-grade versions as they can sometimes have a funky smell. I'm just saying, this is not a good time to "go raw".
