I love using only lard or tallow soap to wash my hair and body. It's creamy, it cleans well, it doesn't over dry or strip your hair. Although sometimes - you have to wash twice (I've got hard water).
From Solace Farm Homestead:
Handmade liquid lard soap, from scratch! This is real, handmade old-fashioned lard soap with only lard, lye and water. If you are sensitive to coconut oil, or any other vegetable oil, this is the soap for you! I dilute this soap only enough to actually be liquid (it is made as a paste to start with), so it is very concentrated. It is naturally a fairly thin consistency, which works well as dish liquid, and it can easily be further diluted with water "to taste". It also works well in any DIY household cleaner recipe calling for liquid castile soap.
