Even after switching to commercial no-sal shampoos and conditioners, I still continued to lose my hair, which lasted a total of five years. After switching to only animal products on my scalp, the hair loss stopped within a week. I use a variety of tallow or lard soaps, in bar or liquid soap, and wash my hair everyday or every other day. I just rub the bar down my strands and suds up. I try not to over wash and strip out all the oils, so I don't need to use a conditioner afterward.

Besides my shower, I also have them at the sinks to wash hands.

Zinc oxide is often used in natural sun screens and for diaper rash on babies. It can provide relief for itchy skin and add volume to hair.

Also, with Etsy, there is often free shipping if you order $35 or more. Soap is heavy, and not cheap to mail, so I ordered 10 bars and the seller sent them in a flat rate mailer, so I think it worked out for both of us to order a bit more.

I use tallow that is 100 % grass fed beef. This tallow has not been bleached, deodorized, hydrogenated, or altered. This also provides an economically sensible option for price competitiveness.

Tallow has oleic acid which acts as an emollient and moisturizer. Oleic acid is found in human sebum, which is an oily secretion that is excreted to provide lubrication and waterproof our skin. Tallow absorbs well due to similar cell structure of our skin.

Tallow produces a nice hard, long-lasting bar of soap (increasing shelf life).

All of my products do not contain the following:

* Sulfates
* Parabens
* Petrochemicals
* Unnatural colorants
* Detergents
* Triclosan (anti-bacterial)
* Titanium dioxide (a dye)

All of my oils are non-GMO, organic, and natural.

To preserve the quality and enhance shelf life of these handmade soap we encourage you to keep in a cool, dry place. Placing your soap on a dish that will allow drying between uses will also help maintain hardness of your soap.

The sodium hydroxide (lye) I use is food grade which contains few impurities. No lye remains after the soap bars have cured.
