Thoughts from Low-sal-life

Popping sorghum is a great low-sal substitute for popcorn, but is much smaller. Cooking this up is a fun activity and snack with kids, especially since it's miniaturized. Make sure to get the plain sorghum variety, and not the ones with avocado oil or other spices. Sorghum has never been tested for salicylates in a lab, but many low-salicylate folks use it. While sorghum is not explicitly listed in RPAH's Elimination Diet Handbook, they do recommend sorghum flour in a gluten-free flour blend recipe (pg 73, 2019)
